GWF AG Flowmeter Solutions for Partially Filled Pipes, Open Channels and Low Accessability Applications

GWF Insertion Style Flowmeters

GWF AG Insertion style flowmeters have many of the same features as the Variable Area type. They both share the same electronics platform and operate to the same high standard with similar performance. The Insertion probe was designed for those ' hard to access' pipes , usually large scale , where it is impossible to retrofit an Electromagnetic flowmeter with no guarantee of a full pipe.  Full or partially full pipes from 100-2000 mm (4-80") in diameter or open channels with flow depths of 40-2000 mm (1.5-80") are ideal applications for this technology. The sensors do not penetrate inside the wall of the pipe so do not get 'ragged' and they cna be hot-tap fitted. Ideal for sites with non-uniform or rapidly changing flow behavior. Suitable for applications with low and high water levels.

GWF Variable Area Flowmeters

GWF AG flowmeters are supplied in a Compact aluminum housing, IP66 (NEMA 4) and have the smallest P68 area velocity sensor worldwide, with Pulse-Doppler Spectral Correlation technology that Scans the entire velocity profile in up to 18 measuring cells giving measurement of low velocities down to 0.04 m/s. This is very unusual for this type of technology.
The flow is Bi-directional measurement over the entire flow range, typical accuracy: ± 2 % of reading for flow with Integrated Wi-Fi access point, Graphical user interface in multiple languages, with SD slot for local data storage. The user can preselect  typical cross sections or user-definable irregular shapes.
The devices have Analogue inputs for external sensors (2-wire loop-powered) where storm overflows can be calculated based on eternal chamber level.  The user has multiple analogue and digital outputs that are  user programmable with other communication to include  Ethernet, Modbus RTU/TCP, optional 4G/3G/2G modem. Power supply: 100-240 V AC or 9-36 V DC and a portable and solar powered installations are possible. An ATEX approval for area velocity sensor is available.

GWF Specialist Radar Flowmeters for Discharge, Storm Overflow and Chamber Flow Measurement

GWF Radar Flowmeters for Small Spaces

GWF AG flowmeters are supplied in a Compact aluminium housing, IP66 (NEMA 4) and utilize Radar based velocity sensors, combines with either ultrasonic or hydrostatic level sensors.  Non-contact flow and level measurement with measurement of low velocities down to 0.02 m/s with Bi-directional measurement over the entire flow  range. Uncertainty velocity with RV11: ± 0.5 % of reading ± 0.01 m/s .The flowmeters come with Integrated Wi-Fi access point, Graphical user interface in multiple languages, with SD slot for local data storage. The user can preselect  typical cross sections or user-definable irregular shapes. The devices have Analog inputs for the external sensors (2-wire loop-powered) The user has multiple analogue and digital outputs that are  user programmable with other communication to include  Ethernet, Modbus RTU/TCP, optional 4G/3G/2G modem. GWF Radar Flowmeter

GWF AG now make ot possible to to measure flow in the most difficult locations and toughest of applications, whether it is an open channel , a chamber or just a open drainage point the radar velocity sensor can be mounted in a very tight space to give an accuarte and reliable reading of veolcity. A second level sensor is used to determine where the levle of hte water lies in relation to its shape. A quick internal calculation results in the flow measurement.

Solar Powered Installation

GWF AG flowemeters are ideal for low power applications in remote sites where it is not possible to get mains power connected. In these cases we can simply install solar power and wind if reuired to adequately power and achieve consistent measurement. It is also possible to have this data sent to our cloud for online data provision and recieve SMS and email alerts if there is a power failure , loss of flow or excessive flow or a machine fault.

The flowmeters are specifically suited to open channels or partially filled pipes and Ideal for harsh environments and heavily
polluted water. They can offer continuous flow monitoring in:
Wastewater treatment plants,  Wastewater collection systems
Storm water runoff monitoring,Urban drainage,Industry and Hydrological applications

Concept Solutions and GWF AG  have been partners for many years and completed many challenging applications but always find a solution that is robust   reliable and accurate.
